About John Dickason

John lives in South Starksboro, Vermont, with his partner, Cherrie, and daughter, Leyla, on eleven acres, in a handmade house with two post and beam barns. John and Cherrie also have two older daughters, Kate and Alaina.

The Family includes three horses --- two Belgians named Tommy & George, and a Morab named Ripton. There are also a bunch of chickens being chased around by our chocolate Lab, Java.

John has built a canoe, a sailing dinghy, and is currently working on a twenty six foot wooden schooner. John plays electric and acoustic guitars, bass, keyboards, hammered dulcimer, mandolin, banjo, flute, and drums. He has written hundreds of songs and has recorded many cassettes and CDs. The book projects are a relatively new extension of the songwriting and he has been enjoying the freedom of rhythm that not trying to make words fit music brings. Much of the writing is centered around themes of consciousness, spirituality, ecology, farmsteading, love, family, cosmology and stories. Read here...

It is his profound hope that the writing and music will touch your heart in a way that makes your vision stronger, your love clearer, your spirit more radiant and brings you joy and peace in this challenging world. Contact John here...
